We hold a Type 07 Federal Firearms License (FFL). The Type 07 FFL is actually three types bundled into one that includes the 07, 06 and 01. The 07 permits the manufacture of firearms, the 06 is required to manufacture ammunition for sale, and the 01 is a gun dealer license. In the process of building custom ammunition, particularly for rifle, customers send us their firearms and we test and tune our ammunition on the gun, providing a turnkey solution to the customer. The Type 01 license is required to send and receive firearms.
For the sport pistol shooter, we have a line of target ammunition in common calibers that is designed to be more comfortable to shoot than commercial ammunition. The most common comment we hear after the customer remarks on the higher accuracy of our ammunition is that it feels “smoother” than the commercial ammunition they were used to. We provide ammunition in all the common pistol calibers as well as those that are less common and less available including .460 S&W Mag, .500 S&W Mag, .38 S&W, .32-20 and others.
For the hunter and the long range rifle shooter, we fully customize the ammunition to the gun by measuring the chamber and lead of the barrel, as well as the magazine length. For hunters we like the Aussie Copper Projectile (ACP) Sidewinder bullet. For the target shooter we use Sierra, Hornady and Berger primarily or what the customer prefers. The proper load is determined by producing a set of profile loads and testing them at the range. We use a combination of internal ballistic software and empirical data on barrel harmonics to optimize the profile loads. The load that yields the best group becomes the production custom load for that rifle. We prefer that the shooter do this testing but can accommodate the needs of the customer by providing a complete turn key solution if required.
